2022 Display
In 2022 we raised money for Saturday Club for Deaf Children (Isle of Wight).
Your kind donations ensure that Saturday Club can be there for every child affected by deafness.
The club was started in 1976 to provide a social club for deaf children living on the Isle of Wight.
Saturday Club has approximately 36 members ranging from pre-school to 18. The club provides activities, trips, experiences and outings focused on developing good social skills, improving communication abilities and increasing self-confidence and esteem.
We chose to support Saturday Club in 2022 due to a half deaf Granddaughter/Niece within the family along with another child who is a friend of the family who also is supported by this great organisation.

"What a stunning amount of money!!"
£1,471 raised for Saturday Club in 2022.
A spokesperson for Saturday Club said:
“What a stunning amount of money!!
“We are so grateful to you for all the hard work, dedication and enthusiasm you have put into building this display.
“Also, the really warm welcome you gave us all when we brought 45 of our members, and their families, round to see the lights.
“It really made such a brilliant start to Christmas for us all.
“The money you’ve raised for us is beyond our wildest dreams and will be such a great boost to our funds for 2023.
“Every penny will be spent on ensuring our Island deaf children can enjoy regular quality times together as a group, socialising, learning and supporting one another during our Saturday sessions.
“A huge thank you from all of us X”
We also came third place in the Isle of Wight’s Light up the Wight Christmas Light Competition!
Bannock Road Christmas Lights are over the moon to announce that we came third in the Light up the Wight competition 2022!
Thank you to everyone who came and supported us throughout December last year, and we hope to see you all again later in the year.
We only ever entered the competition when it first started, to be included on the popular Christmas Light Tour Guide map to get our display out there, and what a success that has been. And to be awarded 3rd place this year, the first time winning something, it truly means a lot to us.
Congratulations to Goldcrest Close for coming 1st and Wellesley Way for coming 2nd!
In case you missed it, we raised a fantastic sum of £1471 thanks to your donations, sent to an Isle of Wight organisation, Saturday Club for deaf children.
