Thank you for visiting our Bannock Road Christmas Lights website, bringing you our Christmas lights display in Whitwell on the Isle of Wight to your screens.
Since 2013, we have been dressing our house up with Christmas Lights to bring a sparkle to the village.
Since 2017, we have been raising money for charity through donations from the public.
Our chosen charity for 2023 is the Isle of Wight Search & Rescue (WightSAR)
WightSAR provides skilled volunteers to assist Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary and other agencies in searches for vulnerable missing persons on the Isle of Wight.
WightSAR relies on donations from the public and support from sponsors to fund their team.
For the past 2 years, we have chosen to support local charities, and we have kept with that frame of mine when choosing to support the Island’s volunteer search and rescue team.
You can find out more about WightSAR here.
Please note in the event of adverse weather, lighting may not be illuminated. Check Facebook for updates. @bannocklights
We aim to have our lights switched on for the 6th December and will run throughout December with the last night being 31st December.
You can find us at Bannock Road, Whitwell, Isle of Wight PO38 2RD. Look out for yellow post-mounted signage on High Street & Kemming Road.
Visitors’ Notice: Those wishing to visit our Christmas Lights Display are welcome to do so at their own risk. We ask that parents supervise children at all times and they are respectful of our neighbours and our display. Please refrain from touching any lighting or electrical equipment for your safety in the unlikely event of an electrical shock. Our entire display is RCD protected, designed to prevent you from getting a fatal electric shock if you touch something live, such as a bare wire. We cannot be held accountable for injuries, incidents, trips, falls or fatalities while visiting Bannock Road Christmas Lights. Our display times are 16:00 until 23:00 every day throughout December, however, on some occasions when there is a lot of wet weather, we may experience some downtime if water gets into anything electrical. We have two collection boxes at our display, which we welcome visitors to donate, however, this is a voluntary donation and do not expect a donation, but if you can, it would be greatly appreciated by us, and the chosen charity. You can also donate via our website, bannocklights.co.uk. We thank everyone who comes and supports our Charity Christmas Lights Display.
