2024 Display

The Bannock Road Christmas Lights Display lit up the festive season in 2024 – and that year, it was all in support of Operation Airbase, an appeal launched by Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.

Since taking to the skies in 2007, the Air Ambulance team of doctors, dispatchers, paramedics and pilots had responded to over 20,000 emergencies across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. Their mission was to deliver hospital-level critical care to patients wherever they were needed – whether that was at the roadside, beachside, countryside or bedside – giving people the best chance of survival and recovery when every second counted.

Operation Airbase represented the charity’s most ambitious step forward yet. By relocating to a new, purpose-built airbase near Southampton Airport, the team aimed to position themselves at the heart of the community, enabling them to reduce response times to the majority of their calls and secure the future of this life-saving service.

Construction was already underway, but the charity needed public support to make this vital move possible. The Bannock Road Christmas Lights Display was proud to play its part in 2024, helping raise funds for Operation Airbase – bringing festive cheer while supporting a cause that brings hope and critical care to those who need it most.

£1,200 raised for HAIOWAA Operation Airbase in 2024.
